Jaunty Grade 4/5 rag with a traditional stride bass. The 1st in a series of 6 rags written as an homage to the great Scott Joplin. All 6 rags have little or no RH double octave work making them more accessible for the late intermediate/early advanced student.
A lively Grade 2, square-dance inspired rag using easy hand positions and primary triads. RH plays in a C Major 5 finger position throughout. The LH 'down-up' articulations use C, G and F Major chords. This piece should be played in a happy, buoyant manner.
