Rhythm Worksheet 1
Worksheet 1 for beginners is in 4/4 time and uses quarter notes (crotchets), half notes (minims) and whole notes (semibreves).
After students have added the counting, the exercises should be clapped or played.
Rhythm Worksheet 2
Worksheet 2 for beginners uses 2/4 and 3/4 time signatures and introduces dotted half notes (dotted minims)
After students have added the counting, the exercises should be clapped or played.

Rhythm Worksheet 3
Worksheet 3 uses 2/4 and 3/4 times and includes eighth notes (quavers). Students are introduced to counting 'and' on the off beats. After students have added the counting, the exercises should be clapped or played.
Rhythm Worksheet 4
Worksheet 4 introduces rests. Students sometime forget that rests also have value and must be counted. With this in mind, a lot of rests have been used in each exercise. After the counting has been added, exercises should be clapped or played.

Worksheet 5 includes sixteenth
notes (semiquavers) and introduces students to counting 'e+u' on the
off beats. After the counting has
been added, exercises should be clapped or played.
